Boris joined Papzian Heisey and Myers as an associate lawyer in January 2017.


• Boris has experience in tax and commercial litigation. He has worked on files involving contractual, bankruptcy, insolvency and taxation disputes

• Boris has worked on tax fillings at the audit, objection and appeals stages before the Tax Court of Canada, drafting audit responses, objections and appeals and was engaged in settlement negotiations

• Boris has made appearances before the Small Claims Court and before the Superior Court as a second chair, expanding his knowledge of civil procedure

• As a Graduate Tax Analyst with a Big Four Australian accounting firm, Boris advised multinational mining oil and gas companies on tax matters involving transfer-pricing, depreciation, capital gains, stamp duty exemption and mining and petroleum tax. Through this experience, Boris has learnt how to navigate a complex taxation system for his clients’ strategic tax planning purposes

• Prior to joining PHM, Boris clerked at the Supreme Court of Western Australia, an equivalent of the Ontario Court of Appeal

• Before being called to the Bar, Boris lectured numerous commercial and legal courses at the college and university level in Canada and Australia
