Conor has practiced litigation for over 20 years, having obtained considerable trial experience over this time. He joined Papazian Heisey Myers as a partner in 2015.

Conor has acted for large national and international corporations, small and medium businesses and on behalf of entrepreneurs in respect to a wide range of matters relating to commercial litigation, including disputes involving commercial contracts, corporate governance, franchising matters, civil fraud, insolvency and restructuring, commercial tenancies and real property litigation, shareholder disputes, and directors’ and officers’ liability. In addition to commercial litigation, Conor has extensive experience in mortgage remedy work, construction litigation including construction lien disputes, estates and guardianship litigation, and employment law litigation. Of particular note, Conor acted for the former owner of the Terminal 3 Complex at Toronto – Lester B. Pearson International Airport in a multi-million dollar claim involving the design and construction of the Terminal 3 Complex roof. He has also acted for large commercial landlords in bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings including the corporate reorganization of the T. Eaton Company, Dylex Limited, Denninghouse Inc., Tereve Holdings Inc. (Bowring), Spiegel Inc. (Eddie Bauer) and the Cineplex Odeon Corporation.

Conor has appeared before all Ontario Courts, in addition to having represented clients in the Tax Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Canada, as well as numerous Administrative Tribunals, including the Ontario Securities Commission, the Ontario Mining and Lands Commissioner, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (Appeal Division), the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO), the Ontario Milk Marketing Board and the HRDC Board of Referees.

In 2004 and 2005 Conor participated in the Toronto Computer Leasing Inquiry and was counsel for a party with full standing in the Toronto External Contracts Inquiry.

Conor is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Ontario Bar Association. He has given numerous seminars for clients and has spoken at a number of sections of the Ontario Bar Association on a variety of litigation related matters.

Community Involvement

Conor is involved in the Crescent School Alumni Association as an “Old Boy”, is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Toronto Cricket, Skating and Curling Club and is a parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church.
