Andrew Johnstone is an associate lawyer at Papazian Heisey Myers whose practice encompasses a wide range of litigation matters. He represents individuals, businesses, and institutional clients in a variety of civil and commercial disputes.
Before joining Papazian Heisey Myers, Andrew practiced commercial litigation at a full-service Toronto law firm, where he managed files involving secured and unsecured debt recovery, mortgage enforcement, contractual disputes, and other commercial matters. He has worked on matters before all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada, the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Federal Court of Canada, and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.
Andrew earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa, where he specialized in Dispute Resolution and Professional Responsibility. During law school, he was a member of the championship-winning moot team at the 2023 Intact Insurance Tort Moot.
Before attending law school, Andrew completed an Honours degree in Criminal Justice at Nipissing University. While at Nipissing, he was recognized as an Academic All-Canadian and competed as a member of the university's varsity soccer team.
Outside of his practice, Andrew enjoys reading, playing recreational soccer, and spending time outdoors camping, kayaking, and paddleboarding.
